Aidan Spencer graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in 2006 with distinction and has practiced in South London since that time, seeing both private and NHS patients. He also pursued a diploma programme in classical osteopathy and in 2008 he completed a two-year MSc in Paediatic Osteopathy through the Osteopathic Centre for Children, receiving the course prize.
Aidan continues to work at the Osteopathic Centre for Children as a clinic tutor and previously supervised in a special clinic run by the British School of Osteopathy in a primary school for children with severe social, emotional and behavioural problems. He lectures in a range of subject areas in both under- and post-graduate level osteopathic education.
As well as his interest in paediatric osteopathy, Aidan also specializes in identifying and addressing spinal postural patterns in patients of all ages. This is partly founded upon 25-years’ study and 20-years’ teaching experience of T’ai-Chi and other Chinese exercise systems. Interested patients are offered simple remedial exercises as well as advice regarding ergonomics. Aidan has experience of carrying out workplace assessments to help prevent the common problems associated with prolonged PC use arising in the first place.
