Nancy qualified from the British School of Osteopathy in 2003 and was awarded the Gold Medal for conspicuous merit. During her time as an undergraduate she received several other academic prizes including the research prize for her dissertation which explored the concept of stress and how it applies to health.

As an undergraduate, Nancy enjoyed the experience she had to observe and treat children using osteopathy and witnessed the huge potential for change when treating the very young. Realising that she lacked the specialist knowledge required to diagnose and treat young children and babies, she enrolled on a two year post-graduate training programme with the Osteopathic Centre for Children (now know as the Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy). Whilst completing Diploma in Paediatric Osteopathy, she undertook research into the management of children who are on the autistic spectrum.

Nancy remains passionate about the benefits of osteopathy for the very young and  teaches at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, both in the UK and internationally, specialising in the field of paediatrics. She is now Head of Education at the Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy, managing a faculty which delivers a two year postgraduate qualification to osteopaths who specialize in paediatrics. Nancy also worked for four years as a clinical tutor for undergraduates working in a clinic which was held in a school for children with severe social, emotional and behavioural problems. She has maintained a special interest in this area of a paediatrics as well as treating to improve the quality of life of all children, including those with complex pathologies.

At the practice, Nancy enjoys the challenges presented by treating patients of all ages with a wide variety of conditions and welcomes that challenge of referrals from other practitioners, both within and outside the profession. She uses a range of osteopathic techniques and has undertaken extensive training ‘cranial osteopathy’.

Nancy has been a partner at the Colin Dove Practice since 2008. She is a member of the British Osteopathic Association, the Alumni of the Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy and the Higher Education Academy.
